ImageKit Privacy Policy

ImageKit (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how the ImageKit mobile application collects, uses, and protects information when you use the app.

ImageKit is designed to create social media content quickly and easily. Most data is stored locally on your device and we aim to collect as little personal information as possible.

1. Information We Collect

Information stored on your device

ImageKit primarily stores information locally on your device using Apple’s on device data storage technologies.

This may include:

  • Images you import or capture within the app

  • Edited projects and design layers

  • Brand kit information such as colours, fonts, and logos

  • Exported image settings and templates

  • App preferences and settings

This information is not transmitted to our servers.

AI Enhancement Processing

ImageKit includes optional AI powered image enhancement features.

When you choose to use these features:

  • The selected image or image layer may be securely transmitted to a cloud processing service

  • Processing is performed through backend services operated via Firebase Cloud Functions

  • The processed result is returned to your device

Images are processed only for the purpose of generating the enhancement requested by you.

We do not store or retain images after processing unless required temporarily to complete the request.

Subscription and Purchase Information

If you subscribe to ImageKit Pro:

  • Subscription management is handled by Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat

  • We may receive anonymous purchase information such as:

    • subscription status

    • plan type

    • transaction identifiers

We do not receive your payment details, which are handled entirely by Apple.

Analytics and Diagnostics

To improve the app, we may collect limited diagnostic information such as:

  • app crashes

  • performance metrics

  • feature usage statistics

This information is anonymised and cannot be used to identify you.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

ImageKit is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require user accounts.

We do not collect:

  • names

  • email addresses

  • phone numbers

  • location data

  • contacts

  • personal identity information

Unless you voluntarily provide information when contacting support.

3. How We Use Information

Information may be used to:

  • provide and maintain the ImageKit app

  • process AI image enhancements

  • manage subscriptions

  • improve app performance and stability

  • develop new features

We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.

4. Data Storage

Most ImageKit data remains stored on your device.

Temporary processing data for AI features may pass through secure cloud infrastructure during processing but is not stored long term.

If future versions introduce optional cloud features such as sync or templates, this policy will be updated accordingly.

5. Third Party Services

ImageKit may rely on trusted third party services to operate certain features.

These may include:

  • Apple App Store for payments and subscriptions

  • RevenueCat for subscription management

  • Firebase for secure cloud processing

  • OpenAI services for AI based image enhancements

Each provider maintains its own privacy and security policies.

6. Children’s Privacy

ImageKit is not directed at children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we learn that personal data from a child has been collected inadvertently, we will delete it promptly.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data including:

  • secure network communication

  • minimal data collection

  • local on device storage where possible

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws including:

  • the right to access information about how your data is used

  • the right to request deletion of any stored information

  • the right to contact us regarding privacy concerns

Because ImageKit does not maintain user accounts, most data can be removed simply by deleting the app from your device.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we do, the updated version will be published within the app and the App Store listing.
